Wedding rings are considered as one of the most important considerations during weddings. For many people, a wedding is never complete with the wedding bands. If you are one of those people who are about to get married, you should pay close attention to your wedding rings and the engraving therein. Engraving both the bride's and the groom's ring have been a common practice for a long time so if you want to follow traditions, you better start thinking about engraving your rings.
Engrave His Rings
Engraving a man's ring can be a bit tricky. Although the men's wedding rings are usually broader in thickness and wider in circumference compared to the women's wedding bands, some men are not really very much into fancy things so be very careful when it comes to engraving your groom's ring. Avoid engraving the ring in the outside because this could make the ring look a bit odd for a man. Besides, if you are the bride and you have your name engraved on the face of your groom's wedding band that might be construed by your groom as an act of possession. Most men do not like the idea of being "own" by somebody so make sure that you do not make your groom feel that way of else he might decide to bolt even before the wedding.
If you want to have your groom's wedding band engraved, it would be a good idea to have the engraving inside the ring. Moreover, before you engrave anything into the wedding band; it would be a good idea for you to consult your groom regarding this matter just to make sure that it is alright with him. Engraving your rings may not seem like an awfully big decision but it is always better to make share decisions on things that concern you both. Note that the two of two will have to live together for a long time so you might as well start acting like a team from the very beginning to avoid any conflicts in the future.
Laser Engraving Versus Hand Engraving
Advance technology affords more convenience to people. In the past, engraving rings by hand give couples very limited choices but at present, couples can now opt to have messages engraved in their rings with the use of laser technology. The latest laser engraving allows up to 225 character of readable message. If you and your groom have a favorite phrase, motto or saying, you can have this phrase, motto, or saying engraved into your ring.
