Managing your Sexual Health can be a difficult task in today’s information rich world. Discussions about Sexual Health are becoming more and more common in today’s media and there’s a wealth of information at your fingertips on the internet.

Discussion groups, blogs, advice columns and products all marketed as the latest cure in the management of a range of common sexual difficulties - from erectile dysfunction in men, to women who struggle to reach orgasm at all. Amidst all this advice and cures, it can be hard to distinguish what is bogus and what is the real deal.

Take Erectile Dysfunction. Given the availability of ED treatments such as Viagra, Cialis and Levitra on the web, you can never be certain as to exactly what kind of service you're getting. It is important to find an online clinic where you are sure that you order the right medicine for you and that you get a genuine supply.

There are treatments that have been proved to work time and again. Viagra, along with competitors like Cialis and Levitra, are such treatments and have revolutionised the outlook for men with erection difficulties. Nearly every man can now be helped to some degree, although under current NHS rules most have to pay for the drug privately. This expensive, coupled with the reluctance to discuss the matter with their GP, drives some men to purchase the drug over the internet.

There are many illegitimate dealers of generic treatments on the internet but if you know what to look out for, you can find safe and legal online consultation services.

This issue was recently discussed on BBC Radio’s ‘CASE NOTES’ , where Dr June Raine, Director of Vigilance and Risk Management at the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, gave the following advice when talking about online clinics that prescribe ED medication:

"It is legitimate. We understand why people are tempted to go this route - to get Viagra from the internet - what we would say to our listeners today is if you're going in this direction please check for a UK address, look the price is in UK sterling, names and phone numbers of the head pharmacist - are they in the register of the RPSGV. So steer towards the legitimate pharmacies, keep away from those that are not."

The danger of going to a clinic that may not be registered in this country is that you really don't know what you're getting. It's impossible to be sure of the quality, of the effectiveness of medicines brought in this way.
