High Fashion Hairstyles... How To Work With Your Hair Stylist

Some women prefer going with a hairstyle look which is consistent with their personality and their identity. These women rarely change it.

Other women, love the opportunity to change things up from time to time.

If you're looking to update your look, look to your hair stylist. They can help you decide what will work for you in ways you have not imagined.

Obviously, your stylist works with hair all day. But more importantly, if you're working with a good one, they'll know the styles that are "in," and what will work best on you.

So the real question is first, what kind of woman are you. Do you want to go with what you know, knowing that it's convenient and "right" for you?

Or are you willing to take a bit of a risk, an adventure, putting yourself in the hands of a competent, professional, trained stylist?

Most women, especially in trendier places like Orange County California, treat their hair style as a matter of fashion. Or even art.

You see it in the magazines. You see it on Oscars night or at the Golden Globes.

Women want to have a hair style which is not only becoming, but which turns heads.

The key is spending the time with your stylist. Don't be in a rush. Don't have preconceived expectations or demands.

Be open. If you're working with a stylist which is up on the latest trends and can perform, they'll be able to help you.

What matters most is trust.

If you don't trust your stylist, then go with what you know and tell them to duplicate.

But if you trust your stylist, allow yourself to put yourself in their hands and make you look like the goddess you've always wanted.

In the best of hairstyling circles, hair styles are not about what's new. They're about two things:

  1. What's in fashion?

  2. What will look great on you?

The fashion magazines will give you amazing insight into what's in today. And your hair stylist can help with the second question, "what will look good on you?"

The key is open communication. Letting your stylist know what kind of look you are thinking about, and trusting and respecting their judgment and occasionally deferring to their expertise.

If that's not the kind of relationship you have with your stylist, respectfully--you need a new stylist. Because you may be passing up the opportunity to look amazing in some of the newest hairstyles today.
