Paris, the capital of France is one of the most important cities in Western Europe in terms of business and tourism. Situated over the river Seine, it is a beautiful place to visit.

Everyone remembers of Eiffel tower and Louvre museum while talking of Paris, but there many other places you can visit while in Paris.

The Sorbonne University and the Latin Quarter:

Latin Quarter is an area situated on left side of Seine River around the Sorbonne University, where people have done their higher studies over the year and continue to do so. This university was founded in 1257 for a small group of theology students. This university is one of the Europe’s oldest universities. It has witnessed some of the world’s great thinkers including philosophers like Jean Paul and Simone de Beauvoir.

Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Elysees

This 164-foot Arc de Triomphe in Champs-Elysees was made by emperor Napoleon to evoke military power and triumph. This monument was built at the time when leader’s use to make such things in there own honor. This beautiful monument is an example of the greatness of Napoleon and his army.

Centre-Georges Pompidou

The Parisians consider Centre Georges Pompidou as the cultural pulse of the city. It was opened in 1977 as a cultural centre and modern art museum in the honor of President Georges Pompidou. The centre of attraction is the skeleton design which is also Center’s signature.

Sacre Coeur and Montmartre

The Sacre Coeur is the highest point of Paris on the Montmartre knoll with a beautiful and eye-catching white dome. This was build in 1909 and is best known for garish gold interiors and for its dramatic terrace, from which you can see some of the wonderful scenario’s of Paris on a clear day.

After exploring and spending all your energy climbing Montmartre’s hills, you can consider a traditional Parisian cabaret at Moulin Rouge.

Boat Tour of the Seine River

Drifting down the Seine River gliding past some of the most beautiful places of Paris is an unforgettable and joyful experience. Companies like Bateaux Parisiens offer a 10 Euros round about trip of the Seine River.
