How to fix registry errors on your computer
Registry errors on your PC is one of the most common and frustrating problems that computer users face nowadays. Your registry is the section of your computer that stores all of the information relating to updates, installs and uninstalls etc.
Unfortunately it is also where malicious programs gain access to your system such as spyware and unwanted browser objects. It is also a haven for residual and unused files such as remnants of uninstalled programs as well as unwanted or unused drivers and can suck up a lot of your computers memory and hard drive space which can have an adverse effect on your computers performance.
As a result of this, it is important to clean and repair your registry regularly to ensure that your PC is running at optimum and is spyware free.
Please take a look at the few simple steps below which will serve as an introduction as to the steps required to maintain a clean registry and to fix any errors that may occur. However the silver bullet to your registry issues is highlighted in step 4, it has ended all my registry woes forever!
Step 1
Before editing your registry it is important to back it up in case you make any mistakes, remember you are playing with system files so be careful what you delete. To create a backup, click start then run. In the command line type "regedit" and press enter. Find and click on the subkey that you want to edit and then click on file, export and choose a location that you would like to save the file as a backup.
Step 2
Click Start then run. Type in "Regedit" in the command line. This should load the registry for you to view and edit
Step 3
Using this application you should be able to delete the files that you wish from your registry and hence cleaning up your PC and vastly improving your computers performance. Remember to look for remanets of programs that you have uninstalled and have not fully been deleted as well as any unwanted browser applications that have been installed without you knowing.
Step 4
I found this whole process to be a little confusing and to be honest very time consuming. I was able to find an application which automated the whole process and since I have been using this program, I have yet to have another annoying registry error, and my computer is running just as fast as the day that I purchased it to boot. You should take a look at it by visiting http://www.regclean.onlines-best-products.com they even offer a free scan which will pick up any errors with your registry that you may not even know about, I specifically found this to be useful for me to identify the areas that I would have to find manually. However after using the free scan, I simply upgraded to the full version and it automatically fixed all the errors that it picked up.
I was so sick and tired of getting registry errors and my PC running so slow. I really found the free scan at http://www.regclean.onlines-best-products.com a huge help in cleaning up my registry and finally getting rid of those annoying browser installations.
