We are all creatures of habit. We tend to get up at the same time every day; get into a daily routine; take the same routes to school or work or whatever the normal place that you go to every day. A certain amount of repetition is comforting to all of us. But there's something wrong with this picture. As network marketers, we must break free of the gravitational pull that's keeping us from succeeding in our business.

We are orbiting the wrong planet. What would it take to change paths. There would need to be a tremendous amount of energy - a fantastic burst of energy - to get from one orbit into another. Without some huge, explosive effort, the gravitational pull in our present orbit would keep us right where we are today.

Massive Action

Have you tried taking massive action in your business, yet? It's painful to transition into your network marketing with little or no energy. Have you ever watched a spaceship take off? Do you think that the spaceship will ever get off the ground without going full power? No. And as you hear them countdown, you wonder if it will ever get off the ground. It takes several seconds at full power to finally life the spaceship off the ground.

Once the countdown has started and the astronauts have been cleared for lift-off, do you think any of them would say "I changed my mind - can you let me off?" I don't think so. They have committed to the mission and the astronauts are not going back. They are headed into space. And we need to have a similar commitment to our business. There's a time for each of us to commit to our business and make a conscious decision that we're not going back, too.

You Can't Go Back

Have you thought about what your price is? I mean, everyone has their price, don't they? Think about the reason 'why' you are building your network marketing business. Now think about the job you were doing before network marketing came into your life. If you were offered twice your salary to go back to your job and give up your network marketing business, would you take it? Is that your price?

Or is it too late? Are you too far gone? Have you come too far to go back to where you were? Are you 'psychologically unemployable"? Has your mind been stretched to the point where your past life holds nothing for you?

When you've made the decision that you cannot go back, then what choice do you have? You must go forward. And when you've decided that you must go forward, then failure is not an option. You will find the way. You will succeed.

Blast Into Your New Orbit

It will take longer than you think. And it will be harder than you think. But it will be worth it to have the time and the money to live the life that you want to live. As Jim Rohn has said "The winds of life are going t o blow. You need to determine how you will set your sail". What this means to me is that 'life happens'. Will you focus on the good or the bad? Are you ready to give up? Or get up?

You should expect to go through every challenge. Another quote from Jim, "Don't wish that life was easier. Wish that you were better!" If you've decided that you can't go back, then you must go forward. And failure is not an option. It's time for you to stand up, get better, and break the gravitational pull of your old planet. It's time to harness the massive energy necessary to get into the successful network marketer's orbit.
