Ø       Do you feel like everything has become overwhelming and too much to deal with? Are you distracted, unfocused, and finding it increasingly difficult to cope and function in your daily work routine as you normally would? If you find yourself feeling down, unsure, anxious, or just plain stressed out, then try these 5 Easy Stress Relief Tips to bring back a bit of control, inner peace, and calm back into your life.

Ø       Hot Bath - An all time classic Stress Relief Tip - Take a hot relaxing bath with some kind of therapeutic aromatics, something Lavender being my personal favorite. You can also choose to add some relaxing music, or personal stress relief audio (we currently have one in development), aromatic candles and a glass of your favorite beverage. Be sure this is "Quite Time" where you will not be interrupted for at least 30 – 60 minutes. If you say you don’t have the time, make the time, no excuses! While you are enjoying your stress relief bath, practice breathing slowly and quietly, finding that "inner calm" and peaceful quiet.

Ø       Movie Night – This can be family time, one on one time with that special someone, or just time to your self, whatever the circumstance will allow. Shared laughter is more therapeutic in my humble opinion however, and would be my ideal suggestion. Choose some type of comedy, comedian, or any "feel good" type of movie, pop the popcorn, pour that beverage and get comfortable. Again, be sure this is "Quite Time" where you will not be interrupted. Stress relief with a funny movie can do therapeutic wonders.

Ø       Get Away – One of my personal favorites and the top of the list for my personal stress relief therapy. Make a quick stress free plan for a day trip or weekend getaway. For me it’s a hike in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains. Take a journal, relax and gather your thoughts. When you're struggling to cope with a major situation or event in life, sometimes stepping away and getting distance from the problem can bring clarity and objectivity. I love getting into the mountains and letting the trees, wind, and mountain top views cleanse and wash away the collection of built up stress. That connection back to the earth is essential in keeping good mental health and maintaining your center of calm.

Ø       Body Massage - Massage for Stress Relief? Indeed full body massage alone or shared with your partner is a most enjoyable way of relieving that daily and weekly stress build up. Get the benefits of the "Hot Bath" environment and some positive personal interaction. Again my favorite aromatic is Lavender oil and is particularly relaxing for me. Take some time to experiment with different aromatics to best find what will work for you and help guide you to that safe, calm, and relaxed state of mind. Partner Massages are extremely relaxing and can increases the intimacy and bond between partners and surely adds to the quality of time together. This in of it self can only increase your feelings of well being, confidence and self worth, lending to feeling good about yourself and helping to lower your stress levels.

Ø       Eliminate External Sources of Stress – Now don’t lose it with this one! Last suggestion is, take a few days, a week, a few hours, and turn off the televisions, the videos, the radios, news reports. Turn off and eliminate any and all outside sources of "negative" energy and stressful news. Believe it or not Silence really is quite a golden rule at periodic daily intervals of our lives. Everyone remembers quite time as a child I’m sure. You need to be able to listen to what your mind and body are telling you. As with any relationship communication is the key to longevity, love, and success. Listen to your body and what it is telling you and you will have half the Stress Relief battle won before it begins. Take care of what takes care of you it’s worth it!

As you can see and have read, the above stress relief tips are easy to implement and require only a small amount of planning or "making time" for yourself. Stop and listen when your mind and body give you clear signs to do so. Remember, prevention can be an amazing and useful tool in your daily stress management.
