It’s interesting. I keep reading about how some of these successful internet marketers, when starting out, had trouble focusing on what to promote and how to promote them. They would jump from project to project, not spending much time on any one of them. Consequently they wouldn’t make any money but spend tons of time trying.
I can sure relate to this. In the beginning I had 6 niches going but was jumping from one to the other all the time (all the emails from marketers didn’t help either). This was difficult because since I didn’t have a stable system I would go from one day to the next not remembering what I did yesterday and where I was today. Needless to say it took me some time to start making money. I was just spinning my wheels.
One of the tools I started using was a spreadsheet. This spreadsheet has lists of tasks along the left side of the sheet and along the top I have columns for all my niches and affiliates. I also have each day of the week listed next to the tasks. This way I can stay focused on what I need to do today, and I can look back at previous days to see what I’ve already done, just by putting a check mark, or a date in the box next to the task.
There is a lot to learn about being an online entrepreneur but putting it all into a good system can go a long way to get you where you want to be a lot quicker.
If anyone is interested in getting a copy of this spreadsheet, sign up on my blog and I’ll send you a copy. You do have to have excel on your computer. I promise I won’t be sending you a ton of junk, and I’ll never give out your email.
To our success,
Tommi
