Targeted internet marketing is the backbone of your internet business. Whether you have your own product or simply promoting other people product, you need to target the audience that interested in the niche you are in. Doing random promotion will definitely get you more traffic, but that does not necessarily translate into higher sales. So this article will share with you some ways to do targeted internet marketing.

The ways:

*Publish articles or press releases

You will need to write articles or press releases related to your niche and the good news is that there is no cost doing this. When you write the article or press releases, you will need to have a good keyword and write based on the keyword. You also want to put the keyword in many places of your article or press release, such as in the title, opening, body, and the closing. Make sure that your article offer some benefits to the reader or it will be rejected when you submit it to the publisher. Before you submit the article, do not forget the most important thing: the resource box. In this box, you must put your link and encourage them to take action.

*Find a related forum

You also can find a forum that is related to your niche. If you contribute to the forum, more people will recognize you. The more you contribute, the more popular you will be. Prove to them that you are an expert in your niche and many people will respect and follow you. Then you can share your link to the website. You can put it in your signature if you are not allowed to post links by the forum. Imagine if you have 500 people reading your posts every day. That means 500 free advertising for you every day! Usually there will be supporters there that will recommend what you have also. This will give you even more traffic to your website.

*Put an opt in box in your website

Building a list of emails is always a good idea. This is because it is much easier to sell to existing customers than to new customers and the customers who opt in will definitely be interested in what you are selling, because they will not come to your website if they are not interested. After you have a list of emails, what you need is just a well written sales letter which encourages them to take action and send it to your list of customers.

*Search engine optimization

The keywords you have are not only for your articles. They are also can be your domain name. Remember, there is no point having a lot of traffic, but there is nobody interested in what you are offering. It is as if you open a tennis store in the middle of a golf community, nobody will want to buy. To avoid this, do not use too generic keywords, such as ‘secret tips’ or ‘golf’. Use a keyword that more specific, such as ‘used golf club’ or ‘online golf lesson’. With this you can get more targeted traffic.

These are just a few of many ways to achieve targeted internet marketing. Notice that some of the ways that I share with you will cost you no money, while some need a bit of investment such as the opt in strategy.
