There seems to be a race happening in the article marketing space. The goal appears to be to put up the most number of articles, so you can stay at the top of your niche, and own a category. It is impossible to completely own a category, but many article marketers have found if they are constantly putting up new articles they end up competing against themselves for a specific keyword, leaving everyone else behind, and thus, no one else is able to touch them or get close.

Of course, this presents a dilemma because you have to continually put up new articles at a rapid pace forever. This is one strategy that tends to work, but an article author who puts up many articles but not a super high quantity of work, can capitalize on the long-tail theory. This second method or strategy also means that you have to write a number of articles, and you have to do it on a semi-consistent basis. Therefore, those authors who wish to stay at the top of their game are plagued with how to write so many articles, no matter which methodologies they use.

Many have chosen to buy outsourced articles from international authors such as those in India. These Indian ghostwriters charge $1-$2 each for the articles they produce. Not long ago, an article marketer told me that they were completely challenged trying to write articles and believe they had no choice but to buy them instead of produce them, and they stated to me;

"I just can't write articles like you, I have trouble writing one article a day much less five or 10. Also, I have a life and other things to do, I cannot be burdened by sitting down, and writing articles all day long, and even if I did they probably wouldn't come out that good anyway."

Well in this case buying outsourced articles is a potential option, but if they will take the time to develop the skills to do it right, and do it themselves I think what they'll find is they are capable of writing quality articles, and the articles will come out better and be more specific to their niche because they know their subject matter. Now, there are a lot of article marketers whose articles really stink, and maybe they should outsource because anyone even a third grader can write better than that.

In this case I understand, but it makes sense to develop those skills anyway, maybe even more so not only for their marketing ability but also because they will become more literate. If people are outsourcing articles only because they are lazy, or they refuse to put forth the effort, that is a personality flaw really. Additionally if they don't know much about their niche and they are just doing it to make money then they are doing the reader in themselves a disservice to the process.
