There are many different types of psychics. Clairvoyants, however, are the most common. Clairvoyance literally means to see clearly. Psychics that are clairvoyant have the ability to see things through objects, over distances and into the past and future. Some psychics have the unique ability to see health issues within the physical body and other psychics receive their intuitive information through visions, dreams, visualizations, and symbolic imagery. There are even some psychics that can see divine beings and spiritual guides.

There are basically two different methods of clairvoyant sight. The most common experience is the ability to see real life images. For a psychic, this method proves to be incredibly useful as it requires no interpretation. These visions are literal. Psychics can gain access to this information either in their dreams or when they are conscious. Some psychics have the ability to enter trance like states that calms their nervous systems. This state enables the psychic to access psychic information by communicating with their unconscious mind or third eye.

The other method of clairvoyant sight is the ability to see symbolic images. Symbolic images are metaphorical depictions of life situations and people. Often, these psychics have added extrasensory perceptions, such as clairsentience. Clairsentience is the ability to gain psychic information through touch or emotion. The psychic combines the psychic imagery with gut feelings. Their own feelings provide validations for what they are seeing symbolically. At some point, these types of psychics develop their own interpretations that they can apply to most people. In essence, they develop a new visual language through symbolic imagery.

Another attribute of clairvoyance is the ability to perceive spiritual beings. These are psychics that see angels and spirit guides. It is important to recognize that, in most cases, the communication with spiritual beings occurs within an internal realm. In other words, the psychic converses with the being through their inner mind. Spirit beings are there to guide you through your life’s journey. They often relay messages of divine wisdom and spiritual lessons.

Finally, precognition and postcognition are other forms of clairvoyance. Precognition involves visions of the future. Psychics with this ability tend to see things in pictures. When doing a psychic reading, they will witness events before they happen. These psychic images usually appear in real life pictures. Postcognition is the ability to see into the past. Postcognition is an excellent tool when working with an individual that has had past trauma or is dealing with significant emotional issues from their past. Psychics with this ability tend to help individuals work through major emotional and spiritual blocks.
