Vacation LA

Los Angeles (LA) is the largest city in California and the second largest in the USA. Brimming with culture and industry, this diverse city, also known as the City Of Angels, is naturally a popular vacation destination and offers a lot to tourists.

LA can be reached by plane from almost anywhere in the world. Los Angeles International airport is used by hundreds of airlines and using a price comparison website will guarantee you the cheapest flights. For accommodation, there are places to stay on almost every street corner. From five star hotels to budget hostels, it's easy to find something in your price range.

The city is the home of Hollywood, fame and fortune. Considered 'The Entertainment Capital of the World', celebrities flock to LA city to make movies, music and more. While you might be lucky enough to spot somebody famous on the street, there are plenty of other ways to get a taste of fame. For example, the Hollywood Walk of Fame celebrates those who contributed to the industry with a series of sidewalks marked with stars recognizing various people who have made their mark in the entertainment world. The walk goes on for 1.7 miles allowing endless fun trying to find well known personalities including actors, directors, musicians and even fictional characters.

For those who want to see more of the 'good life', there are buses offering tours in the Beverly Hills neighbourhood, where many celebrities reside. And while it is rare to actually see one of these industry workers out and about, it is fun to check out their beautiful homes. Also, if you are lucky enough, there may be a film premier taking place, as often happens in LA, during your vacation – a great chance to spot the stars in action.

Although, many of the main attractions in LA are based in Hollywood, there is more to this multi-cultural city. Those wanting to get away from the craziness of the entertainment industry can take a trip to Venice Beach. Spend the day chilling on the sand or explore some of the culture it has to offer from street performers to art exhibits. Observe the body builders pumping iron in an area called Muscle Beach or enjoy a chilled beer in one of the many bars located on the promenade.

If celebrity-spotting and chilling isn't enough, those looking for thrills can experience some of LA's many theme parks. Disneyland presents something for all the family with rides ranging from family friendly to high-speed roller-coasters. Universal Studios also plays host to numerous rides located of seven parks. Extreme thrill-seekers should head to Six Flags Magic Mountain, home to the world's largest collection of extreme rides.

Los Angeles is a perfect holiday destination for those seeking an interesting and fun-packed vacation. Constantly buzzing with West-Coast charm, you'll never be bored in the City of Angels.
