Sunshine in Cuyo Region offers an irresistible invitation for visitors from all over the world, who choose Mendoza and its hotels to spend their holidays. The weather conditions in this Argentinean province could not be better. Due to its sunny days and its unusual rain prospects, the city of Mendoza is one of the most important touristic centers in South America, making this region an ideal destination for vacation time.
In March, the Grape Harvest Festival (Fiesta Nacional del la Vendimia) is held on the first Saturday of the month. Folkloric dances, religious ceremonies and the election of the Grape Harvest Queen (Reina Nacional de la Vendimia) are some of the numerous activities during this celebration. As it is possible to imagine, lots of wine, music and artistic performances take place throughout the festive days, turning this celebration into one of the most popular and cheerful in the entire country.
During April and May, the fall comes and indicates it is time to harvest. Temperatures remain mild as the grapes are collected from the vineyards and the winemaking process starts at the bodegas. As the evening comes, there are plenty of exclusive restaurants in the capital city where visitors can have a delicious meal. From Italian food to the traditional Argentinean asado, the exquisite cuisine in the city of Mendoza displays numerous options. Some wineries offer different so the guests are able to have dinner while they enjoy the local production of delicate wines.
