Tons of articles have already been written on how you can get rid of your acne. But chances are that you’re still suffering from it. The thing is that it’s not probably even you’re fault that you still have acne. It’s just that you’ve been misinformed or have picked up a number of myths related to the problem.

That’s why we’ve come up with this video. We’re going to show you some of the ways of how not to get rid of acne. With these tips, we hope that you can keep yourself from committing the same mistakes that still cause acne breakouts on your skin.

Ready? Let’s start.

Tip 1: Popping Your Pimples

You’ve probably read this advice countless times already, but it really is too tempting to pop your pimples. Why? Because doing so provides you with a quick and visible way of dealing with your acne problem. It’s quick, alright, but it doesn’t help you in the long run. Popping your pimples will only lead to acne scars—something that you’ll have to deal with for the rest of your life unless you go through an expensive surgery that will remove them. Plus, popping your pimples opens up your pores that could expose the area to bacteria and dirt, which could cause another wave of acne breakout on your skin.

Tip 2: Not Washing Your Face Regularly

Okay, people will tell you that this will not help in removing acne on your face. But if you add good hygiene to your anti-acne treatments, then, you will have better chances at fighting this problem. After all, it’s been proven countless times already that washing your face helps remove at least some of the dead skin cells and excess facial oils on your skin. Washing your face regularly is better than not taking care of your face at all.

Tip 3: Scratching Your Skin

If you’re not popping your pimples but you’re still having acne scars, then, you’re probably scratching your skin when you have acne. An inflamed skin due to acne can get quite itchy especially when pus starts to develop. So, if you give in to the temptation, then, you’ll end up scratching your face. Before you know it, you’ve already accidentally scratched off your pimples too, causing damage to your skin.

Tip 4: Not Having a Regular Anti-Acne Routine

To be able to fight acne effectively, you need to be consistent in dealing with it. Many people make the mistake of dealing with their acne once the problem has already erupted. But if you have a regular routine of washing your face and using a number of anti-acne products, then, you significantly lessen your chances of having acne breakouts.

There you have it. We hope that you would remember these tips that we shared with you. So, the next time you experience an acne breakout, remember that scratching your face, popping your pimples, not washing your face and not having a regular anti-acne routine will only make your problem worse.
