Facebook, let’s face it. Almost everyone who is anyone is on it. And the addictive nature of the social network is attracting more users everyday. Comments, Pokes, Messages and Comments all make for added fun and adventure that has changed the way we all "do" the internet. It is weird though? Weird? Yes, because the site has a standard blue and white layout that no one seems to mind. There is a growing library of skins and themes available and the plug in is easy to install. Once you have downloaded the plug-in and installed it, all you have to do is select a theme and install it. If you don’t like it, you can download another and use it. The changes become visible to anyone who views your profile.

Aside from doing this, if you want to have a cool Facebook profile, there are some points you can consider:

• Keep your profile short and simple. Sure you want everyone to know who you are and what you’ve been doing but the essence of creating a cool profile is make people visit your profile often, this can be done by limiting your news feed to others. Just visit your favorite fan pages to see where simple comes into play. Avoid saying too much.

• Avoid having too many applications and joining too many fan pages. This says that you don’t know what you want. Of course you may like a lot of things but if you don’t interact with these apps and pages often, they create clutter on your profile. Try to keep a cautious eye for which apps you really want versus those you don’t need at all.

• Limit your news feed. Do your best to check your settings so that not everything is published about you on others’ pages. Some things are best reserved for those interested in getting to know more about you.
