Hastings Street Noosa Heads

The world famous Hastings Street, with its specialty shops and restaurants, is a pleasant place to spend a day. You can dine at one of the fine restaurants, enjoy an ice-cream, shop till you drop, or just sit and watch the people walk by. Sit on the beautiful white sands on Noosa Beach in front of Hastings Street and watch the clear blue waves crash to the shore. Hastings Street hosts accommodation for all tastes, many with ocean views overlooking the Noosa Main Beach.

The Noosa National Park

The Noosa National Park overlooks Noosa Main Beach, Hastings Street and many small coves and beaches where you can swim, surf or just lie in the sun and chill out. There are several walks you can take in the park - many through the tropical rainforest. These walks can take from 20 minutes to three to four hours there are trails to suit all levels of walking. The Noosa River

The Noosa River winds from its entrance at Noosa Heads through the Noosa Head Canals, Noosaville, Tewantin about 40 kms through Lakes Cooroibah and Cootharaba to the famous Noosa Everglades. There are many tours that can take you to any area of the Noosa River.

For the adventurous there are boats and jet skis for hire. For the adrenalin seeker there is the thrill of driving fast boats to satisfy the need for speed!

If life in the slow lane is more your style, try a comfortable pontoon boat or just sit in one of the many parks in Noosa Heads and Noosaville. The river edge has been aesthetically enhanced for the enjoyment of tourists and locals. You will find BBQ facilities and lots of grassed seating areas.

For something different, take a twilight tour or the gondola on the Noosa River at sunset with a glass of wine and nibbles.

Enjoy a walk along the Noosa River edge in Noosaville and discover more specialty shops and restaurants. The river walk offers exercise equipment in the parks for those who would like to run off some of the extra indulgences.

Noosa Beaches

Noosa on the Sunshine Coast is known for its beautiful white, pristine beaches. Noosa Main Beach is patrolled daily and safe for swimmers that swim within the surf life saving flags. The beautiful Noosa weather offers great surfing, body boarding or whatever beach sports you enjoy. Sunshine Beach, Sunrise and Peregian beaches offer good surf and white sands to enjoy.

The Noosa Hinterland

The Noosa Hinterland is a filled with rolling hills and mountains. The hinterland offers panoramic views of the Glasshouse Mountains and the Sunshine Coast towns and coastline. Take a day to explore all of the charming hinterland towns. Maleney, and historical Montville village with its unique shops and cafes, are a must-see. Enjoy one of the many walks on offer. The Mary Caincross walk and lookout provides picturesque views of the Glasshouse Mountains. This can be done by self drive, or there are a variety of tours that you can take to include this area that to these areas to suit all needs. The Glasshouse Mountains were formed by long-extinct volcanoes.

Surrounding Areas

The Eumundi Markets on Wednesday and Saturday are world famous. There are many stalls featuring clothing, local crafts and food. These are among the best markets in the world!

Australia Zoo "Crikey" is another must-see whilst in Noosa. A free courtesy bus is available for those without a car.

Take a tour to Fraser Island, the world's largest sand island is a must. The flora and fauna is untouched on most of the Island and there are two crystal clear lakes with pure white sand, an ideal place for a swim.

Between July and November, Humpback whales can be seen off the Sunshine Coast headlands and beaches on their annual migration north to warmer waters.

Be sure to visit the Ginger Factory, Big Pineapple and Nut Factory.
