Check around and you will find lots of naysayers available that make a point to say that praying to God and believing in Him is in fact stupid. They will ask, "How can you pray and worship someone that may or may not have existed?" Just because something is not perceptible, it does not signify it never was. Was indeed Picasso not ever a genuine human being? Without a doubt he was and his works of art are the proof he left behind of his life. Many people have a difficult time trusting in anything they cannot see, touch or actually feel. Still it is so comical how these very same non-believers celebrate imaginary figures such as Santa Claus. He is certainly not touchable however families still celebrate him right now. God, the father left behind his imprint and despite the fact that we can't see him, his presence is all around us. He is part of the oxygen we breathe in, the land we step on, and our pumping hearts.

Everyone believes in something and indeed when they are going through a truly really difficult time it may be very hard to have faith in the Lord. Nonetheless, those times are when you really need to maintain the most faith. As a single mom, everyday is a challenge. There is particularly little stability and certainly not ample time in a day to manage virtually all the responsibilities that arise with the role. To be sincere, I was previously one of those doubters. Then one day another person invited me to visit church with them. Soon after enjoying the service and getting to know about our Lord. I came to the realization I had been missing out on something very critical in my daily life, the love and strength of God. To receive all the advantages the Lord has to supply, you need to expose your heart to Him and trust in Him. This isn't just as easy as saying I believe in God together with going to church every week. You have to open up, accept Him into your life, and worship him. In turn he is without a doubt by your side and will be there even in the darkest time to hold your hand, give you strength, and walk with you.

Of course you may perhaps have read that prayer is a rather powerful tool that enables you to become closer to the Lord. I've had numerous days where I completely thought I could take no more, wanted to basically put my arms in the air, and surrender. Normally I would probably sit there weeping in frustration and on some days in fact question out loud exactly what I had done so wrong to deserve all the difficulty and stress. One particular night right before going to sleep, I chose to pray. I asked the Lord to enter my life, protect my child, and provide me the strength I required to go on. Even though he didn't answer me like a regular person, I was peaceful. Many things grew less complicated and now each time things look to become too hard, I turn to God for the guidance and power I need to have. If you haven't presently allowed the Lord into your heart, investigate how you can gain comfort from the Lord's company in your own life.
