Regarding computer security, the first thing a PC user may think of is to create a strong Windows password to protect unauthorized users. Actually, it is indeed the one of the aspects we usually do to enhance computer security. However, sometimes you may only focus on "strong" so you create a very complex Windows password, neglecting that you are unable to keep the strong password in mind. Bypass Windows Password Option 1:
If you are a Windows XP user, you can simply restart or start your computer to enter the Windows log-on screen. Then press Ctrl+Alt+Del twice and the classic Windows log-on screen will appear. Type administrator in the user name text box and leave the password text box blank, and then hit Enter to log on your computer. This method is only applicable as you don't set a password for the default administrator account.
The above easy solution is not effective is your OS is Windows Vista or Windows 7. Unlike Window XP, the administrator account in Windows Vista and 7 is disabled by default. In addition to this bypass Windows password method, some other Windows password recovery options yet are not suitable for lost Windows Vista/7 password. Fortunately, there are 2 common methods allowing you to bypass Windows password in all popular Windows OS.
Bypass Windows Password Option 2:
Whether your OS is Windows 7, Vista or XP, you can use a USB flash drive to create a password reset disk to in case of Windows password lost in a few minutes. With this password reset disk at hand, you can easily change the lost password with the disk. Unluckily, many of PC users is not aware of the importance of creating a password reset disk until they find password lost and cannot log on computer. Of course, some may don't know how to create a Windows password reset disk. If so, you can follow the steps as below:
Step 1: Insert a removable media such as a USB flash drive or floppy in computer.
Step 2: Open User Accounts by clicking the Start button, Control Panel, User Accounts and Family Safety, User Accounts in order.
Step 3: In the left pane, click Create a password reset disk, and then forgotten password wizard will come up. You can easily create the password reset disk follow the instructions.
