A short history of Argentine tango

Argentine tango is a musical technology genre and social dance that begun in Argentina and Uruguay. Argentine tango music is much more variable than ballroom tango music that is the organizations of ballroom dance (ballroom dance refers to a set of partner dances, which are enjoyed both socially and competitively around the world) that branched away from its original Argentine roots by allowing European, American, Hollywood, and ambitious influences in the style and performance of the dance. A large amount of tango music has been composed by a variety of different orchestras over the last millennium. Not only is there a large volume of music, there is a breadth of stylistic distinctions between these orchestras as well, which makes it easier for Argentine tango dancers to spend the entire nighttime dancing only Argentine tango.

So the best known element of Argentine culture is the tango dance. Tango has been named many things- "a secret danced between two people", "not a dance nevertheless an obsession", "a sad thought that is danced", "that reptile from the brothels". It has been said that "tango is not in the paws. It is in the heart. "

We do not know the exact origin of the word "Tango". Although the specific origins of the Tango are not clear, it does go back well over 100 years. In the 1890s, the word "Tango" first appeared connoting a specific dance. It is now generally believed to have been used in the old "Candombes", or religious festivals, held by the descendants of Black slaves. During these festivals (Candombes), there was much dancing to the rhythm of the 'Tang" drums, and curiously, participants used the word 'Tang' for almost everything, -the dance itself, the drums used, and even the places where these religious rituals were carried out. It is quite probable that the "Tang" started to be today’s "Tango". (Needless to say, the 'Whites' thought the dancing to be immoral).

This is the short history of Argentine tango. It is currently one of the best elements of America and European especially Latin American culture.
