"The Machine that has revolutionized Juice and the American Smoothie! Welcome to the 21st century! Introducing the HealthMaster Emulsifier!"

As you can see, I am excited about juice and juice machines. But, let's first start with fiber.

Fiber is mostly polysaccharides composed of glucose units, but human digestive enzymes cannot break the bonding of these units. We can think of fiber as non-starch polysaccharides. These include cellulose, hemicellulose, pectin, and some other types of fiber. That might sound like Chinese to you, but fiber is an important part of our daily diet, and a high fiber diet might be perfect for your body.

The absolute best way to include fiber into our diets is by eating raw vegetables and fruits. Cooking fruits and vegetables cause these important polysaccharides to break down which causes them to lose the important vitamins and nutrients held within their tight bonds. So, if we do not boil, fry or bake our vegetables, can we simply dig in and eat them? As previously stated, no, human digestive enzymes cannot break the bonding of these tightly wound glucose units. This means a lot of tough meals and lots of painful endings in the bathroom as large chunks of undigested food make their way into the toilet. And worst of all, you will have nothing nutritious to show for it as nothing will be absorbed by the body.

How do we increase our fiber intake and get the vitamins and minerals we need? Just ask yourself, what would Jack Lalanne do?

Jack Lalanne was correct in saying the most effective (and painless) way to get the fiber and nutrition we need is through juicing. Juicing takes raw foods and breaks them down to a consistency where humans can consume the necessary components and helps prolong a healthy lifestyle. But exactly what juicer should we buy? It is next to impossible (and takes way too long) to chop foods by hand to a consistency that is drinkable. And which machine should we purchase? Most machines are made for a little orange juice, carrot juice, apple juice and it breaks. Or they are so hard to clean that we shy away from the juicing machine all together.

Juice or Smoothies? Or Both?

We now agree that juicing is necessary for health. We are not talking about orange juice or carrot juice. We are talking about a combination of juices as different fruits and vegetables all contribute something different. We are talking about a smoothie; a good old-fashioned American smoothie.

Smoothies are generally thick in consistency and can sometimes include a dairy component. Dairy is important, but not essential in all smoothies. An American smoothie has everything from berries to carrots and even parsley. The recipe is strictly up to you as long as you have a machine powerful enough to give you the consistency you desire. The HealthMaster Fruit & Vegetable Emulsifier has that kind of power you need. You need a machine like the HealthMaster as Wal-Mart's "juiceman" probably cannot match the quality.

Montel Williams even endorses this product. As a cancer survivor, Montel knows what a proper diet should be. Please don't wait until you have cancer to start eating right. Start getting all of the vegetables and fruit your body needs, craves and deserves! You don't have to bring an entire grocery bag of food to get your daily allowances. Just use your HealthMaster machine and get healthy with an American smoothie. You can even settle for a fresh glass of orange juice on occasion. My next article will be some of my favorite recipes. They are all low cost and extremely delicious. Hey, they kept the fat off of my body!

Steve Moore is a contractor and is morbidly obese. Well, not anymore. He is just obese now and is working towards a more healthy weight. His latest trick to a healthy diet is drinking juice and smoothies through his home machine.

You buy his juice machine at http://www.SmoothieMachine.tv. This is the same machine endorsed by Montel Williams, cancer survivor.
