Lipo dissolve is considered by many a "non-invasive" form of cosmetic treatment. However, many studies have yet to be done before this new so-called "fat-melting" injection can be considered safe or not.

Lipo dissolve is a mixture of a variety of ingredients that are used to dissolve fat. The mixture is administered through an injection directly into the areas of excess fat deposits. The injections can be used to treat many of the same areas of the body as most traditional liposuction treatments.

Lipo Dissolve Safety Issues

The chemicals and other ingredients used in lipo dissolve injections have not been approved by the FDA as of yet. Although the mixture consists mainly of phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholate, two chemicals that are naturally made, the other ingredients included in the fat-dissolving cocktail are not approved by the FDA to be used on their own.

Studies are underway to determine if lipo dissolve is safe or not. The preliminary results of a study conducted by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery showed that lipo dissolve was effective in reducing the fat in the study participants by 1 cm. There were also no serious side effects, just the usual redness, bruising, swelling, bruising, and mild pain that some of the other popular forms of liposuction cause.

Still, more studies need to be conducted before this new form of liposuction can be deemed safe or unsafe. This is expected to be done by following current study participants over time to see if any adverse effects arise, as well as conducting more studies on larger groups of people.

What's important to note is that while the FDA has not yet approved lipo dissolve, this does not automatically mean the chemical mixture or the treatment itself is not safe. It simply means that enough data has not been gathered as of yet to determine if the chemicals used in the injection are safe over the long-term. Thousands of people have undergone this form of fat reduction treatment without any adverse side effects.

If you are considering lipo dissolve injections, be sure to discuss the treatment, as well as its potential risks and complications with your doctor before undergoing this form of fat removal surgery.

In addition, be sure to do your research on the cosmetic doctor you think you would like to administer the injections and ensure he or she has the necessary experience with this type of liposuction surgery.
