Why do you need to take-up woman self-defence lesson?

You have seen it in the movie. A girl is heading to her car in a dark and isolated parking bay. Suddenly an evil looking bald guy jumps out from behind a van. With her keys, she jabs the bad guy with the keys and then she throws some kicks at his groin. He is squirming in pain. She escapes safely. Most of the time, your intuition, combined with your common sense, can help get you out of trouble.
