It tells you how efficient and credible he or she will be as a trainer. There may be many trainers who will offer their service for a very cheap price but it does not guarantee that they will give you effective set of fitness routines and exercise. Instructor
Aside from being a certified trainer, he or she should also be an efficient instructor. It does not mean that he or she will give you long lectures but the manner in which he will give you the step by step procedures of each activity or work-out should be clear enough that you will not get confused in any way when executing it. You will be safer from gym accidents like sprains in this manner.

No trainer will wish that his client will be rushed to the hospital because of any injury but in case this may happen then he or she should be prepared to conduct first aid.
