Knowing different languages gives a person an upper hand in business. A client tends to readily put his trust in someone who can communicate with him in his language. The marketing of any product to foreign countries also demands a working knowledge of that particular country or place. The names of the products need to be translated into the native language of the countries flawlessly to avoid embarrassment. It is also for this reason that companies prefer people who know many languages.
