Removing important emails by deleting them is not a new thing. Many of us often delete important emails from Outlook using SHIFT + DELETE key to permanently remove them from PST file. PST file is an Outlook file where users’ emails, contacts, notes, tasks, etc. are saved. MS Outlook assigns an index number to every mailbox item while saving it in the PST file. Because of that index number, Outlook manages mailbox items. For example, displays them to you, filters them during an Outlook search, etc.

When we delete an email using SHIFT + DELETE key, the index number of that email gets removed due to which we do not see that email in our Inbox and Deleted Items folder.
