Always choose a tent or tent supplies which will last for years to come. Choose a tent based on your need and budget. Next, look for the best features. For instance, decide in advance how big a tent you are looking for. If you are going camping in the car, a big and heavy tent does not matter. But for canoe camping and backpacking trips, a light and small tent is the best option. A 2-person tent is not quite right for two people because there is hardly any space to move. Ideally, a 4-people tent is good for two people and a 6-people tent is perfect for a family of four.

This way, there is room to spread out and store your gear. There are also multi-room tents which allow for a little privacy. The rooms are divided by a zipped door.

Camping tents with aluminum poles are highly recommended as they are sturdier. A tent should have enough ventilation, should be dry, and have enough rain-fly.
