Google is the most important search engine in the world. There's no doubt about it. Ranking a site in the first few positions on Google's front page raises its value exponentially, a fact all internet marketers are aware of. The goal of this article is to provide you with the right tactics to help you get to the front page of Google.
One factor that has a pretty big influence in getting your site to the top in the Google SERPs is the domain of your website. Undoubtedly, achieving high rankings for your site in Google will be easier if your main keywords are in your domain name. However, you should keep in mind that your domain name is just one of the many factors that you need to concentrate on in order to achieve your goals. Ensuring that your principal keyword is included in your domain name is essential when registering it. You should also ensure that your domain name starts with your keyword and there is nothing before it. When Google sees another word at the beginning of your domain name, like "my", it automatically presumes that your site is less relevant. You can add words at the end of your keyword, but it needs to make sense and be done with taste. If you are lucky enough to get a domain name that is just your principal keyword, then that's great, but if not, you know what needs to be done. You should at least put your main keyword in the URL if your website domain name doesn't have it. Google will give your page preference if it finds the keyword in the URL when generating results for a search. Long tail keywords are easier to rank, but it really doesn't matter what type of keyword you are targeting. The big G will analyze multiple factors on your website, including your URL. Just because they included their keyword in the URL, many new sites will rank quickly for those terms.
One aspect many people ignore at their own peril is the powerful "Title" tag. Your primary keyword needs to be present in your Title; that's how Google comes to know what to rank you for. Conversely, exercise a little restraint and don't start stuffing your Title tag with every keyword you can think of. You can easily use up to two keywords in the Title, but not more than that. Making your two keywords appear as one is an excellent way of doing this.
If you take into account a few factors, you will find that Google will be more willing to give your site a boost into the top positions. You will generate excellent results if you apply the advice in this article.
