When I found out I was pregnant with my daughter, I rushed out, as all Mums do, to get all the equipment that you are told you will need. When my daughter was born, I quickly discovered that the baby blankets and snowsuit I had bought were not the answer to getting out of the house easily.

Snowsuits take an age to get on to a baby, with tiny arms and legs. You finally get you and your baby ready to go out, only to find out that minutes later the car has warmed up, or you go into a warm shop and need to take the suit of the baby as it is too warm. I quickly gave up on the idea of snowsuits and decided to just use baby blankets.

This idea wasn’t much of an improvement, it was much easier to get out quickly but I found that in order to stop the baby blankets from sliding off the buggy; you have to tuck them down the sides of the baby. This, I found, must be repeated every few minutes or the baby will kick the blanket off and it is the dragged under the wheels of the buggy.

I was constantly thinking that other people must have the same problem and there must be a solution. Then one day my friend said you need one of these and pointed at her Morrck Hoodie blanket in her buggy. I didn’t really understand what it was, but being a forthright friend I didn’t argue with her.

It turned out that Morrck was a local company and had invented a product that solved all of the problems that I had experienced with the snowsuit and baby blankets.

Morrck design baby blankets which fit into the buggy or car seat and have holes in them to let the straps through. They have an inbuilt hood and wrap around the baby. The hoodie can be wrapped and unwrapped without disturbing the baby, which is great if they are asleep. Because it goes under the baby, it can’t be kicked off or slip down.

It is also much safer because the baby does not have too much on underneath the straps in a car seat, the straps fit the baby and not the clothing.

It solved all the problems I had experienced with standard baby blankets and snowsuits, I recommended it to all my friends and they all love it too!!

I have children myself and I write about products and tips which are useful to parents, they cover making life less fuss and more fun, saving time and getting out and about with young babies and children. Some of my articles are interesting but they try to have a bit of fun and laughter about them.
