In today’s world it is common to see quantity over quality but what has happened? Why is this the case? It is even more common to hear complaints about broken items that have recently been purchased. This really gets me thinking and sometimes, I try not to scream "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR"!

In the industry of design and decor the same doesn’t always hold true however. Sometimes the more expensive something is the sooner it will break, decompose, tear, rupture, split or all of the above. I have certainly found this to be true with some of the chains of clothing manufacturers. That is why the company who manufacturers your desired items and the stores that sell them need to be taken into full consideration. Not everyone buys on impulse and not everyone sells just anything that will sell. So what is quality? Quality is considered value and can be measured in many different ways but what we will define it as is a product that has a life considered to be satisfactory in comparison to its cheaper relatives. Quality is something that not only lasts but offers the ability to be proud of you purchasing decisions. You usually get what you pay for but that doesn’t always mean inexpensive items are of less quality. Sometimes you just find a deal and those are great days!

Inexpensive room dividers can be found of quality but you must know where to look. You’ll find inexpensive with the big box retailers but you won’t find quality. There is a specific reason for this. The items are usually produced over seas by what is known as slave labor. Think for a moment that if you were paid just enough not to starve to death and told that you must create ten widgets in one hour when it takes one hour to create five widgets how would you accomplish this? You would sacrifice quality. Which is what happens. Time and time again I have found this to be true.

When searching for affordable room dividers keep in mind to think outside the big box. If quality is your goal remember to look for a reputable manufacturer or retail store that is aligned with similar goals. Your local decor retailers have much more unique items and almost always of higher quality. You will pay more but you are getting much more for your money. Remember that good design starts with creativity and creativity is unique, inspiring and all around you!
