For businesses to thrive, they should be branded in the right manner. The basic information about the business should be made available to the potential clients in the form of brochures, advertisements, etc. Yet another popular modern method of disseminating information is through corporate videos.

Corporate videos are audio-visual information provided by the company or organization in the form of DVDs, HD video, or streaming videos. This is usually viewed only by a limited audience. The type of video may range from company information, achievement and promotional videos, financial results videos, or product training videos. These days as corporate videos can be in the form of streaming videos, the line of difference between such corporate videos and company advertisements on television is pretty blurred. Some companies even place their advertisements on YouTube.

Corporate videos are made by video companies after getting the brand and product idea from the company that they are going to service. Video companies produce videos, for both commercial and private purposes. The entire activity is budgeted by the company and the video company develops the video according to the budget. With the delivery date in mind, in the pre-production stage, the video company develops a storyboard idea. They also develop a relevant script that would suit the story. The production stage involves the actual filming with the equipment, crew, and the actors. It can be extensive or minimal depending on the budget. Post-production activities involve liaising with the company to edit the video footage after getting the feedback from the company’s side. The voice-over or music score is also added thereafter.

Corporate videos are used for a host of applications these days. It could be as diverse as training and motivating employees of the organization. They help to convey the strengths and uniqueness of the company to potential clients of the company. Corporate videos have the advantage of being played on computers or VCD/DVD players. Thus they can be carried to any place and are always ready to be played at an impromptu occasion. They are also highly effective for seminars and exhibitions.

Webcasts are also gaining popularity these days. It is a media file that is distributed over the Internet. It is broadcast either live or on demand. Webcasting can be done these days with the help of cheap accessible technology. It is no surprise that many video companies also offer production services for online web videos. Thus, video companies of today help a company produce corporate videos that are a fusion of content, graphics, video, voice-over, and special effects.
