Staying in the Cornwall holiday cottages during your Cornwall holidays is always the best decision. The Cornwall holiday cottages are luxurious and are fully equipped with all the modern amenities that will give you the guarantee of a good place to stay during your Cornwall holidays. You will have one of the most memorable Cornwall holidays if you include some activities at the Active-8 Activity Centres. Active-8 has different centres depending on the activities that you want. Here are some of them.

Active – 8 Wet & Wild Day

If you want an exciting day out with the whole family during your Cornwall holidays, the Wet & Wild Day at Active – 8 Centre in St. Austell is where you must go. It is best to leave your Cornwall holiday cottages early so you can be there when the action starts. 9:15 is when the activities start and they end at 6 p.m. The centre will provide you with a wetsuit but you need to bring your own swimming costume, trainers, towels and a change of clothes together with food and drinks. You get to enjoy different activities like rock jumping, coasteering, snorkelling and kayaking. You will also go and explore the caves that were used by smugglers in the past. You can also dive and explore the rich marine life in the area. Coasteering is a new activity which involves going through the boulders, jumping across rock pools, crossing the ledges covered with barnacles and jumping off the cliffs. Parents and young folks like to engage in this activity. You do not have to be an expert swimmer although you would need to have the right confidence in the water for you to be able to join and enjoy these activities. This is one activity that you can try out with your whole family during your Cornwall holidays. But remember that the activity centre is about an hour’s drive from your Cornwall holiday cottages so you must leave early.

Sea and Surf Kayak at Active – 8 in Portreath

If you are looking for another outdoor activity during your Cornwall holidays, you must try kayaking. If you are in one of the Cornwall holiday cottages, you can go out early and go kayaking starting 10 in the morning. You only need to bring your swimming costume, towel and trainers as the centre will provide the wetsuits, helmets, buoyancy aids and kayak. Kids ages 8 and above can also join this activity. There is an experienced guide and instructor who will teach you the proper way to kayak. This is a great way to explore the coastline at Portreath or go to Skadgetts Cove but in the end it all depends on the tide. That is why it is recommended that you call the centre from your Cornwall holiday cottages and make reservations so you will know if the activity is available or not. Kayaking at Portreath is available from April to October so if your Cornwall holidays are during these months, this would be a great activity to try out. Kayaking is very popular in Cornwall so if you are staying at the Cornwall holiday cottages, spend some time at the Kayak centre in Portreath.

Staying in the Cornwall cottages during your Cornwall holidays is always the best decision. Cornwall holiday cottages are luxurious and are fully equipped with all the modern amenities that will give you the guarantee of a good place to stay during your Cornwall holidays.
