It all began one sinister, wet evening. I mean all horror stories begin like this right? Well no lying it was a pretty torrential down pour and I blame that rain for why I got locked in my Brooklyn self storage unit.

As I was departing work my husband reminded me to stop by the Brooklyn self storage facility so I could grab some things for our new house. I was a little bothered at the call since it already starting to rain and it looked like a downpour was coming. The respectful spouse I am, I headed that route. I made sure I got as close to our unit as I could so I could try and out run the water falling. I let myself inside and took hold of my first load of items and hurriedly carried them back to my vehicle. The next trip didn't go so well, as it was now pouring and lightning so I decided to wait and let it end.

Now these Brooklyn storage units are positioned on higher ground so rain wasn't running into the unit, but the spray of the rain was getting a few things wet so I decided I'd shut the door while I waited it out. Before you are convinced that was just entirely stupid, know that there are outlets in these Brooklyn storage units so I plugged in a lamp for a little light.

I allowed 15 minutes go by before I went to reach for my key to go home, oh yeah my key that vital little thing. I'm sure you have realized by now that I no longer had the key with me. In my jostle to and from the car it had slipped out of my jacket. At first I began to lose it, unexpectedly feeling a rush of extraordinary claustrophobia come on. Thank goodness I still managed to have my cell phone. My spouse, once he gained his composure again from laughing so hard, came to my rescue. As it turns out, the key had slipped out just on the other side of the door, of course. After quickly pretending that the key was not going to work, he let me out and I learned my lesson. Word of advice is always make sure you have your key to your Brooklyn self storage unit before you shut the door!

With such a small availability of space in New York storing your valuables may seem to be difficult. But now there are Brooklyn self storage units that are here to help you.
