It is perfectly normal to have a clear discharge from the vagina before and sometimes after your ovulation. This may last for a couple of days then go away on its own.

We can identify two completely different types of infections through your female discharge. These very common infections are yeast and a bacterial, each one has a different color and odor.

If your discharge is bright white and extremely thick with a consistency of cottage cheese to a very thin almost clear then you are dealing with a yeast infection. This is the most common symptom of a candida infection and is common. This discharge should be quite itchy around the vagina and have little to no odor.

You can clear the symptoms of a yeast infection easily. But you should kill all the candida in your body to insure that you won't have a reoccurring problem. It's so frustrating to keep getting this female discharge, it's worth it to do it right the first time. Sure there are over the counter medications that will alleviate the symptoms fast but they don't attack the root of the problem.

One thing I found out the hard way with a yeast infection is that it can be sexual transmitted back and forth between your partners. My husband and I didn't know it for years but we kept giving to each other. Men can have a yeast infection with next to no symptoms at all. So I would get rid of it and get another one right back it was so aggravating. That was before I knew the real trick which is to kill all the candida in your entire body and be done with any female discharge. The funny thing is it's so simple with the right program, I just never knew.

Now if your female discharge is yellowish, again sometimes a very light yellow, to a dark yellow almost brown with more of a liquid consistency and a bad odor then you have bacterial vaginosis. The most common bacterial infection symptoms and the easiest to spot are the color and the foul odor. A bacterial infection can have some itching with it but the odor is what is so frustrating, it's just flat out embarrassing to me.

Bacterial vaginosis is a very common infection. It also is a very common mis-treated infection. I see more people trying to cure this with a yeast infection remedy and it just won't work, it's a totally different infection. You can cure this infection form the privacy of your own home, which is the way I like it, but you have to do it through the right method.

Now bacterial vaginosis is not spread easily through sexual intercourse like a yeast infection might. However it can cause a multitude of problems for you, especially if you are pregnant. So I would suggest you get this cleared up as soon as possible and besides it's really easy to cure if you just follow the right steps. There is no sense in having this any longer now that you know what it is.
