One of men's biggest flaws is their ability to recognise fashionable clothing and keeping up to date with the latest trends. Although there are those who are able to set them self apart and understand what it takes to look the part at every occasion. But often, many men stress every day about what to wear to each specific location or event. But it can be made simple. By following these easy steps and guidelines the common faux paus can be avoided.

The first common mistake is to not even think about making clothes and accessories match. The next time you are going to a special occasion, consider making your belt and shoes match colour. Even consider the colour of the accessories such as watch or wristbands to other kinds of clothing being worn. The biggest mistake anyone can make is to wear brown shoes whilst wearing a black belt.

This issue can also be expanded into the colour of socks you choose to wear. Because when wearing work attire, that includes dark trousers, white socks will not only stand out like a sore thumb but also show you have no sense of style. It's important to understand that when wearing any kind of clothing socks should match this colour. Its not vital that they match exactly but remain within the same colour bracket. Don't be afraid to try designs and patterns, to set them apart, whilst showing some character.

Next, lets look into the essentials that every man must own in his wardrobe. Items that can help cover most scenarios whilst demonstrating to the world that you are in fact up to date with current trends and styles:

A classical monochrome watch. Choose a watch that has a simple design with a black or brown leather strap. This is not only a classic design but it will be difficult to find a situation where it will not work. Whether it's a casual or formal event.

Brogues. These are a timeless shoe that transcend formal and casual events. These can work for any formal event that includes a suit, to a casual event that requires chinos or jeans.

Dark Jeans. Jeans are very versatile but by owning a dark pair can increase the ability to wear a pair of jeans, which are much more comfortable than trousers or chinos. A dark coloured jeans can be combined with blazers and brogues to help achieve a formal look. Whilst able to wear them day-to-day with shirts and t-shirts for a more casual appearance.

Grey Suit. It does not have to be grey but this colour is more acceptable at more events. Such as weddings, funerals, and work meetings . What's more, the blazer can be combined with chinos or another style of formal trousers. One of the many experiences younger men go through is the panic of having to find something suitable for any of the above events. Whereas if you pick out a quality suit beforehand and keep it for all of these occasions there will be no need to worry.

Have you got all of these in your wardrobe?, if not consider the potential benefits of owning even a single of the above pieces of clothing. With the winter seasons on the horizon its also wise to consider looking into leather jackets, heavy knitwear and scarves.
