In 2019 we interact or see digital signage in most places, whether this be; bus stop advertising, poster screens, cafes, coffee houses, fast food restaurants, shopping centres, the local high street, or even standing in the middle of Times Square. This form of modern display can be used for a grand multitude of ways, from simple small scale advertising, and menu boards, to creating grandiose advertising for the world’s biggest brands. The reason for this is that it works, and does so well.

Digital signage has developed over the years to create a new standard in the ways customers expect to gain awareness and interact with a brand or business. This is because we are living in a digital age with ever changing brands, constantly updating newsfeeds, and product lines, meaning that for most people, print media doesn’t quite enable the full impact of a campaign as much as it once could.

Therefore a digital solution is perfect, allowing a business to update, refresh, and inform customers within seconds, due to the phenomenal capabilities integrated within the screens. Especially those with a built-in network solution. This will mean that from anywhere globally updates in the media/information displayed can be done within an instant so long as you have an internet connection, not only this but you can synchronise your displays to create a full-scale effect.

Digital signage isn't just for purely display purposes, many options can have touchscreen capabilities, therefore the customer is able to interact with the content you have developed, allowing for direct social media connections, online shopping experience from within physical stores, or even just allowing people more freedom in the way they choose to interact with a company.

The freedom and flexibility to implement them into current branding and business is beyond easy. Solutions available can be wall mounted or freestanding, network capable, and even suitable for outdoor use. This means no matter the idea for use is there is typically an option available to help you and your customer base. For example, wall mounted digital signage is great for creating a low space impact while enabling a high effectiveness display, a touchscreen solution may be chosen should you wish for your customers to order using such solution, an outdoor solution is great to use in public spaces with high foot traffic and interaction due to its vast safety and durability features, and a freestanding model is great for creating an instant large impact in the environment it is placed, most available with added mobility in the form of castors.

To grow in the current world it is important to develop the technology used within it, and as discussed a great way to start with is digital signage, it is a great option to bring a brand into the 21st century and to in turn engage with a customer base. However, should a business solely rely upon this form of advertising and awareness? No, digital signage solutions are incredibly effective in the conjunction of print media and signage solutions. This is because although the world is constantly updating and changing along with technology, this does not mean that print media is obsolete, mainly due to the fact people may find that print media is more trustworthy, due to the fact digital media is creating such a flippant mindset of its users, additionally a physical form of branding, such as; leaflets, print ads, posters, and signs gives a customer in terms of recall and retentiveness the information acknowledge.

Therefore the combination of the two forms of signage is best, due to the ability to create fresh engaging content in the form of digital media, while also aligning your brand with all age groups, and presenting as a possibly more trustworthy brand to its customer base with the benefits of print media. So we suggest checking out both solutions to create the most meaningful and significant form of marketing and advertisement possible.
