The market for T-shirts has been popular for years, and the rate at which people buy them shows no signs of slowing down. All kinds of people like T-shirts and they will use them to express themselves, promote a business, show support for a football team, make a political point, or make a joke. Some people like to create their own design for a T-shirt using a logo, or perhaps a photo of a loved one.
During the course of a lifetime, many people will collect perhaps several dozen T-shirts which they will wear for a while, and then tire of them and go on to buy another one. Of course, many stores stock mass-produced T-shirts, but most people who wear T-shirts want to express individuality and so will go to a T-shirt printers in Edinburgh to have a T-shirt printed as a one-off. Many of the T-shirt printers will also offer other products and services such as baseball caps, or perhaps embroidery in addition to printing.
The most widely used method of T-shirt printing in Edinburgh is called screen printing. It used to be called silk screening because the original material was silk, but of course today that has been replaced by polyester. Screen printing uses a stencil and the ink is transferred to the fabric to create the desired design. A small T-shirt printers will screen print by hand, but bigger businesses may create thousands of T-shirts of the same design using machines.
The small T-shirt printers serve niche markets and can produce small print runs in a few days. They are ideal for designers who want a small print run to see if their particular design idea sells, and then if it does, they can have more printed as they need them. The larger T-shirt printing businesses can run off high volume runs which puts them in an ideal position to produce T-shirts to be sold at concerts, for example, and they can also produce them fast. So if a football team looks as though it is going to win the FA cup, they will keep an eye on the game and then can turn on the machines and run off a lot of T-shirts so that they can get them into the shops fast.
A lot of these companies now have their own websites where customers can view and buy T-shirts. Some also have design options so that you can upload your own design and they will then print off as many as you need.
You can use T-shirt printing to get your message across. For instance, if you are running a stall for your business at a market or a garden fete, you can have your team all dressed in the same T-shirt promoting your business or promoting a special offer. Of course, if you are promoting something it follows that you want good quality T-shirts, and you need a good T-shirt printer who will proof-read your design before undertaking any printing. Ultimately, the T-shirt printing company has to print what you tell them to print, but you don't want a T-shirt with a spelling mistake on it, for example. A good T-shirt printer will tactfully point something like this out so that you don't get a garment that isn't right.
There are dozens of ways that you can use T-shirts in your business. You can print a picture of your product. You can use your company logo. You can print your website address on the back or the front. So you could have your team wearing T-shirts with your product picture on the front, and your website address on the back which tells people where to order it. Pop groups capitalise on the popularity of T-shirts by having their tour venues and dates printed on them, and their fans go crazy for them.
If you are holding a child's birthday party, you could have a set of T-shirts printed – one for each child. You can have a design on the front and the name of each child on the back so that every child has his own T-shirt to take home after the party.
There is a never-ending list of things that you can do with T-shirt printing. It just requires a little imagination.
