The company has found social media to tell their story and establish the trust of current and potential customers. They create unique content to use on each social media platform. For instance, they create YouTube videos to demonstrate makeup techniques.

Influencer Marketing

Some beauty companies have resorted to using influencer marketing. Think of your last purchase. What made you decide to purchase that particular item? Did you see a video of a celebrity endorsing or using the product? Sometimes have someone who can 'influence' the decision of the target market, giving the sense of added value because someone famous endorses it. This practice is called Influencer marketing. When a well-liked or respected figure endorses or suggests a particular product, this adds 'perceived value' to the product, and this can speak volumes and drive sales higher.

The same goes for twitter. If a celebrity or well-respected individual tweets about a particular brand or product, those who are following that person or company may be more likely to choose whatever is endorsed. They may even share or 're-tweet' the posting, thus exposing the brand or product to even more people and the process can continue many times, reaching millions of potential buyers. According to Google Trends, influencer marketing has been on the rise as the keyword search for influencer marketing has been on the rise since 2015.
