So, you have bought your bottle of Olive Oil to drizzle over your salad or maybe to cook with but did you know that this wonderfully versatile product has several other uses?

/. Run out of shaving cream? Never mind, you can use Olive Oil instead! Olive Oil gives a superbly close shave when used in place of shaving cream.

/. Run out of polish? Never mind, you can use Olive Oil instead! Olive Oil is a safe and effective shining agent for many surfaces, including stainless steel and chrome.

/. Run out of eye makeup remover? Never mind, you can use Olive Oil instead! Simply dab a little under the eyes and rinse off with a washcloth.

/. Prevent wax from sticking to candle holders. Rub a thin coat of Olive Oil over the base of a candle holder before inserting the candle. The dripped wax should then peel away quite easily!!

/. Look after your cat. Add 1/8 to ¼ of a teaspoon of Olive Oil to your cat’s food to help to prevent hair balls.

/. Moisturise cuticles. Apply a small amount of Olive Oil to your nail bed to keep your cuticles moisturised and supple.

/. Treat dry skin. Olive Oil is a great treatment for dry skin; rub a thin layer over the effected area after a showering.

/. Stuck Zipper? Never mind use a cotton bud to apply a small amount of Olive Oil to the teeth of a zip (avoid touching the fabric) the zipper should move up and down like new!!!

/. Run out of furniture polish? Never mind, you can use Olive Oil instead! Apply a small amount of Olive Oil to a cloth and wipe.

/. Squeaky hinges? Olive Oil is a great lubricant for those noisy hinges, apply a small amount of Olive Oil to a cloth and wipe over the top of a hinge so that the oil runs down the sides.

All of this from the ‘stuff’ you just bought as a salad dressing! (Don’t try any of this with Mayo!!)
