LIMIT THE FILE SIZE- Web page size is defined by the total size of text, images and supporting files (including JavaScript, flash etc.) within the page to be downloaded from the server. So, the size of a web page should be kept small to open up fast. If the page has too many items to load and is slow to display, it should be broke into smaller pages and linked to a new web page, with link back from the second page.

Limit the SIZE OF IMAGES inserted in a web page. Large image takes longer time to display hence, the size of image is to be limited. Adobe Photoshop can be used to slice the image and call it in a table. Bulky contents such as video, audio, flash animations etc, which slow down the display of the page should be avoided.
