Everyone has that certain something that makes him or her tick. It's what drives you, makes you pop up in the morning and smile for no reason whatsoever. It's the juice and passion that lets you work hard and play hard. It's called the "It" factor.

Are you one of the fortunate few who get that feeling from your career or job? If so... you should certainly be grateful. If not, then take some comfort in the fact that you are not the only one and there is a better way.

Droves and droves of business people are unhappy with the state of their current career and the direction it's going in. Many stay because of their perceived security. It feels too risky to try something new with bills piling up.

The interesting thing about that is there are other options that isn’t as difficult of risky to attain as some suggest. Everyday another person brings their personal daily grind to an abrupt halt. They courageously leave their jobs of current careers and venture out into the lucrative world of home business.

Over the next 10 years it is estimated that somewhere in the 50% range of all middle class homes will be supported either partially or completely by a home based business.

It is completely possible to leave the constraints or the corporate world and your current career and be successful doing so. The "IT" factor that makes the success possible is Passion. With out unbridled enthusiasm for the possibility of success, it all seems too risky. Once you throw the excitement of creating the life you want your way, the risk seems less and the work becomes worth it not to mention a whole lot of fun.

You've heard the line in the Beatles song, "...Money Can't Buy Me Love". Well that's true and it can't buy happiness either. BUT if you are doing what you love or what you have a passion for, then you will most certainly be happy. Simply put, passion plus happiness can, and almost always does equal money!

Passion is a key component to any business success but especially home business success. Passion is the driving force behind every great leader and it is what allows companies to grow and thrive. People like Donald Trump and Oprah Winfrey have extreme passion for their craft and it shows in their results. Their expertise and knowledge is sought after in all levels and types of business.

What is most interesting is, they will all tell you the same thing... in order to be successful you must have passion for what you do and really love it. When you do what you love, the passion is there naturally and that makes all the difference. It is what creates the possibility to achieve great success.

So, what do you love? If you aren't sure, you're not alone. Many people don't really know what drives them. Here are a few things you can do to help you figure it out. Ask yourself these questions and write down your answers...

  • What are my hobbies

  • What do I love to do that I'm not getting paid for.

  • What is fun to me?

Now, review what you have written and figure out what if is about those things that feel right to you? Are they challenging? Do they let you be in control or bring out your creativity? Think about your current career... is it fun or not? If it's not fun, then you are missing passion in that area of your life.

Passion can bring a sense of balance also. Remember that time flies when you're having fun... follow your passion and make that your career. The fun will follow you and will make your commitment to the work necessary come easier. When you love what you do, overwhelm and under appreciation disappear and as a result, and the door to success opens wide.
