For quite a number of reasons, exhibitions are a great place to showcase your products and services, if you are prepared to do so. To start with, you can both advertise and sell your wares at an exhibition, which gives you the ability to kill two birds with one stone. Another great thing about exhibitions is that the people who attend them are generally prepared to examine what ever it is that you are offering, by virtue of the fact that they are even there.

This means that you are in an optimal position to offer advertising and promotional extras that might not be as well received in another venue situation. Exhibitions are also a great place to meet and greet your competitors and have a good look at what they are offering and most importantly how the public is perceiving or reacting to what they are offering.

Having a professionally designed business stand is of the utmost importance when attending an exhibition and trying to cut corners with a do-it-yourself stand can in the end cost you money and potential customers or clients. Exhibitions are very business intensive environments where potential customers are going to make themselves available to you in large groups that also have fluidity in that they may be moving and your job is to stop them and have them notice you above all others.

Many times you will have but a split second to get through to a curious exhibition attendant and for this reason only a professionally designed and researched display will do. After consulting with your provider, they can then make a determination based on their own previous experience what will fulfill your needs best and they have a large repertoire to select from including modular display systems, display banners, pop-ups and even large scale design systems.

With regards to the exhibition itself, you will want to do some research as the what it will actually provide for you. The promoters will always give you a projected attendance figure and many times these are inaccurate, in that less or even more people can actually end up attending. If the exhibition was held the year before then you may think of checking the attendance numbers from that previous year.

You may think of asking the promoters just what they have actually done to promote the exhibition, because this is all very important. If there is entertainment at the exhibition that is expected to draw people to it then you will want to take a look at the number of people that have been attending previous performances that they have done. It is important that you do some research that you can then provide to the designer of your exhibition stand, so they can then incorporate it into the actual design of the finished product.

For instance if there is a hard rock act being featured at the exhibition then that may be taken into account versus if there was a country and western act that was being featured. Creating the right atmosphere at your stand is of the utmost importance and this is all done with sight, sound and even smell. One thing that you should bear in mind when you are considering participating in an exhibition is your over all costs of attending the event.
