Guitar solos are a melodic passage, section, or entire piece of music written for an electric guitar or an acoustic guitar. Guitar solos, which often contain varying degrees of improvisation, are used in many styles of popular music such as blues, rock and metal, jazz styles such as swing and jazz fusion.

Fingerstyle guitar is the technique of playing the guitar by plucking the strings directly with the fingertips, fingernails, or picks attached to fingers, as opposed to flatpicking (picking individual notes with a single plectrum called a flatpick) or strumming all the strings of the instrument in chords. The term is often used synonymously with fingerpicking (although "fingerpicking" can also refer to a specific stylistic subset ). Music arranged for fingerstyle playing can include chords, arpeggios and other elements such as artificial harmonics, hammering on and pulling off with the fretting hand, using the body of the guitar percussively, and many other techniques.

Normally, fingerstyle guitar are played in classical, and flamenco types. But these days, many people use fingerstyle type of guitar to play pop song just like tears in heaven, classical gas by mason williams, and else.

Actually its quite simple to arrange your own type of fingerstlye solo guitar. the basic of creating a fingerstyle solo guitar is simply combine the chords and the rhythm of the song. for example :

if the rhythm is :

e--3----3----1----0----------

b------------------------2---

g----------------------------

d----------------------------

a----------------------------

e----------------------------

and the chord is C which :

e--0---

b--1---

g--0---

d--2---

a--3---

e--0---

then just simply combine it. note : there are many ways to combine between the chord and its rhythm, i will show you one of them. For example:

e--3----3----1----0-----------

b-------------------------3---

G-------------------0---------

d-----------------------------

a---------3--------------------

e------------------------------
