"The times are e changing" wrote bob Dylan once and well they defiantly are. Do you remember the life in the eighties? How the hell did we survive that decade? No internet, bad TV, No cell phones, Vinyl Records for god’s sake! Should I say anything more? correct me if I’m wrong ,which I don’t think I’m, but if you get over the nostalgic feelings and all that stuff you’ll find that our era is much, much more comfortable to live in.

Take for instance two examples: this is one that bothers me the most. until the compact disc player became a common thing the maximum amount of time that you could un interruptedly listen to music was half an hour (in a good case) then you had get up, go to the record player or the cassettes tape and turn it over. I’m not even mentioning that if you wanted to listen again to the same side of a cassette you had to rewind it. Today you have the Mp3 player or the IPod and you can listen to all the music you want until your battery runs of, that’s what happens to me anyway because I always forget to charge this miraculous apparatus.

Exhibit number two (as Nigel the lead guitarist of spinal tap says): the Telephone. Say you had arranged a meeting with a friend 20 years ago; you would set an approximate time when you’ll meet at a certain destiny, but you couldn’t be sure he’ll come at the expected time , my friends the cellular phone has altered this uncertainty for ever unless some one is screening your calls.

Now if you combine these two topics. Music and cell phones what do you get? That’s right my friend Ringtones! Which are one of the most annoying inventions of the century, but I, my self can’t live with out them they give a soundtrack to my lazy life.

Ringtones
