Okay, so you would like to fire your boss and work from home instead, it's a lovely idea, getting up when you feel like it and not having to jump out of bed when the dreaded 6:30a.m. alarm goes off. It's an idealistic notion not having to answer to anybody and being able to go to the toilet when you please. It sounds like a dream come true, choosing the hours you want to work rather than fitting into somebody else's schedule, but there is a lot you must carefully consider before you fire your boss!

It can certainly be a reality to fire your boss or work from home instead - An estimated 45.1 million Americans work from home today, either as remote employees or self employed owners of their own home-based business, so there is ample opportunity and you really don't have to be stuck in the Rat Race for ever. Yes, the financial freedom and security is very possible with your own business

The danger is that too many people fire their boss and quit their jobs too soon, thinking they will just get rich overnight. It's important to understand that it takes a little time to build a business from home, whether you're selling a product or a service. Hundreds of customers don't just land on your doorstep overnight. My advice to anyone who wants to quit their Job, is too hang in there until it your home business income equals your salary. Running a home business is no fun at all when you have no money coming in, so don't do the stupid thing that I did when I first started working from home, and a trap hundreds of people fall in to because you will just put yourself and your family under unnecessary stress

First you should find the right program or business. Make sure that the company is financially stable and it won't go bust within a few months. You should run your home business part-time to start with to make sure that you will enjoy what you do long-term and most importantly - when you've gone at least three months where your home business income either matches your salary or pays you enough, then you can fire your boss and work from home instead

Working from home has its pros and cons. It is a big challenge to employ your self properly and be disciplined enough to do the work you need to do without getting distracted by TV, surfing the web, your family or anything else. It is a pain in the proverbial backside doing your own accounts and taxes!... And it's not always as simple as choosing your own hours, running your own home business often means you have to work weekends and sometimes unsociable hours. Don't get me wrong, because the pros far outweigh the cons. It is truly wonderful not to answer to anyone, it is a fantastic to set your own hours, and most of all it is truly amazing to make a years job salary in just one month, but its not a totally rosy picture!

So in summary, yes, you can fire your boss and work from home, but do it when the time is right. Don't jump in with both feet first, look at a few programs, consider carefully the pros and cons of each program and make an educated decision, and most of all get started looking for the right home business today.

I personally work no more than 20-30 hours each week making far more money than I ever did as an employee, but I have learned the hard way!
