As modern threats can do more damage than their previous decade’s counterparts anyone looking at the purchase of any PC Protection software should consider how much protection they need. A single user with one computer in the home will find that a simple scanning tool with some moderate intrusion prevention tools will suffice. Those in business however or using their computers as a business portal will have to face a hard truth in that they security they need is far more comprehensive and expensive than those who surf the net from their home.

Care should be taken before a final decision is made. How much protection you need, your budget and the function of your computer should dictate your purchase. Those looking for deals or free programs should by all means give them a shot. There are some very good free programs available today and most of them, like Blink available at the eEye site, for example provide a comprehensive free edition of their PC Security software which in all truth gives its users more free options and better protection than most free applications do. In the end you need to remember what year we are living in and think about how important your data and privacy is to you.
