Trade shows are by far one of the best venues to introduce your business to your target market as well as to your associates. Whatever your niche, there’s surely a trade show or exhibit to showcase all the products and services in your particular industry.

When you join a trade show, there’s a very big chance that you and the rest of your competition would be vying for the attention of your target clients. In fact, with trade shows becoming so popular these days, you’ll most likely be surrounded by all your competitors.

So how do you stand out amongst the crowd? There are many ways to help you work your booth that you’ll be able to generate many leads to your business. Here’s how:

1 – The design of your trade show booth should not only attract your prospective clients’ eyes, it should also be able to retain their interest, enough to make them want to stay and ask you for more information.

One hotel chain used a very successful gimmick to attract attention. A shoe shine frenzy was organized where the sales agents provided the service. Every client they had, they were given a few minutes to present their business and their offer.

Another company operating a spa provided free massage to whoever passed by their booth. During the massage, they were able to introduce their facility and made so many contacts.

2 – Instead of the regular trade show giveaways, why not improvise and design a booth where both you and your prospect can interact. You can provide interactive lcd screens as you make your presentation.

3 – Provide a booth that is free flowing and would entice your prospects to go inside and have a look. Get them involved with your presentation.

4 - Your trade show booth is the perfect opportunity to reflect your image and identity. It is also the best avenue to build relationships with your clients. Reinforce your brand by decorating your booth with your corporate colors and your logo. Infuse as much personality into your booth to make your prospects see the kind of service you can offer.

5 – Create a fun and exciting booth that your target clients would find entertaining.

6 – Make your booth a help desk of some sort where you provide your prospects with direction to the rest of the trade show. Even if you’re helping somebody out to find another booth, you may have the opportunity to introduce your business as well. Remember that people would find it hard to say no to someone who has given out a helping hand.

The key to everything is to make the most out of the limited space provided by the trade show organizers. You can generate leads with your booth if you can create a place where both you and your clients can interact and exchange ideas and of course, business cards. Just remember, if you work it, they will surely come.
