Women's Perfume: Finding the Right Fragrance for Your Chemistry is Easier Said Than Done

For women, perfumes and colognes are a way of life. A good fragrance is like invisible makeup; it may not change the way that a woman looks, but it can certainly change the way that they smell and that can make a drastic impact on the way that she feels about herself and the way that she looks.

Where to Buy Women's Fragrances

Women's fragrances can be purchased just about anywhere. Depending on the type of fragrance that she was looking for, a woman has a variety of places to actually do any shopping for perfume. Low end boutiques, high end department stores, the internet, auction sites, outlets-the possibilities are endless. There are just so many places that a person could choose to look for their various fragrance needs. Depending on what you are willing to pay, it isn't difficult to find the right price points if you use any or all of those shopping avenues that are available to you, including the World Wide Web.

It sometimes becomes necessary to have to pursue some discontinued women's fragrances for one reason or another. Many discontinued women's fragrances bring back long lost memories of one's mother or childhood, and although these fragrances are not necessarily commonly sold they are commonly loved by a lot of people. This is the only reason why the memory of older perfumes has survived and some people are still out there looking for some of the classics.

You can buy many women's fragrances that have not been discontinued on the web or in department stores. Depending on whether you are looking for high-end department store fragrances or just regular run of the mill perfumes, the internet is a great resource. The internet is great for one stop shopping whereas actually shopping may take one or two or ten department store visits to find the right women's fragrance in the right sized bottle, or in the right version.

Finding the Right Fragrance for You in Stores

If you are shopping in stores, it can be rather difficult to find the right women's fragrance for you. It is a fact that the nose can only hold onto three distinct smells-especially perfume-before it starts reporting the wrong information to your nose, so if you go around sniffing ten or twenty types of perfume, your body will be completely unable to handle that.

Spray your desired women's perfume fragrances on cards rather than on your body. If there is one you like, you could wear it around if you wanted to but consider the fact that it may make an impression on your nose that disrupts the smells of other perfumes that you are shopping around about. The fragrance could get in the way and give you a different scent than it actually smells, meaning that the fragrance you thought you were buying may very well be completely different from what you actually end up with.

Some popular women's fragrance designers are Elizabeth Taylor, Estee Lauder, Lancôme, and others.
