I shall write about our own experience. I came from Siberia, a region with a cold climate and is almost at the bottom of the standard of living. In my city, there is approximately 1 man to 6 women. It is necessary to consider that many men abuse alcohol, the statistics has absolutely sad results. Besides that, many men leave for other, safer regions, with more favorable conditions. I have a lot of girlfriends of my age (30-40) years and almost all without exception never were married or are divorced and bring up the child independently. I having lived 6 years after divorce in loneliness have never met the man 30 and single. And if I have met one, it is most likely he was a drinking man or most likely a boy which needed the mother and not the wife. Foreign men are focused on family and they wish to see near to themselves a wife of caring and wish to care for the wife and children. They with pleasure incur a part of house duties, whether it’s to make a supper or to shop. In Russia, house duties are all carried out by the woman, after work they go to shop, and then with heavy bags in both hands go home, to make supper, clean in the house, feed family, check lessons of the children and....all this while the husband lays on a sofa and watches TV and asks when supper will be ready. Because in opinion of the husband all are female duties, its duty only to hammer in a nail in the house when it to be necessary. It would be desirable to emphasize that foreign men with pleasure spend time with the family and receive from it pleasure, that is a greater rarity for Russia. With Russian men the main values in a life is to have many men-friends, entertainments, and his own interests. Foreign men can look after their women, and Russian women very much appreciate it. In fact they see the childhood dream of a prince which possesses the certain set of gentleman qualities. Proceeding from the aforesaid, foreign men also are those princes who are waited for by many Russian women. I certainly have depicted an average portrait of a Russian and an American man from the experience of myself, girlfriends and friends. In Russia there are not too many good men and as I wrote above, the women simply do not suffice. Therefore if who that thinks that Russian women search for men of foreigner exclusively for the mercantile purposes - than this person is mistaken, though exceptions do happen. At many lonely women is both career and good work, but for Russian women the family is always the most important value in life. And Russian women are ready to offer this for a happy home life, good friends and to have both parents for their children.
