You were so excited to see your first sale. All the marketing techniques you used when you set up your business really do work. There excitement and relief as you know your efforts have paid off.

Your first great month was only so good because you 'worked' at the business, so make sure you don't get complacent and do nothing the second month. Yes, what you have done so far has worked and that's great, but it only worked because you worked, you made it happen. If you do nothing, you will get nothing.

So, go back to the drawing board, evaluate what you did, from your test results work out what worked well and what didn't and plan your next month from there. Perhaps you could write an article on how well your first month went, what worked and what didn't as I am sure others in your situation would want to know of your success and more importantly, how your success was achieved.

You will appreciate the importance of recording and testing any marketing techniques when it comes to analysing the results the following month. You can only know for sure where to spend your marketing budget if you test, record and evaluate the marketing methods you have used.

As things change so very quickly in the 'internet' age, just because something has worked this month does not always mean it will work well next month so not only do you need to maintain your existing activity but try to widen your marketing mix - and don't forget to test and record the results of all your marketing methods.

Setting aside specific time each day/week to do your work, write articles, run pay per click campaigns and so on will maintain momentum and keep sales even. Maintaining 'bread-and-butter' marketing methods each month will generate sales which will then allow you to experiment with other methods which you can then evaluate and build your overall marketing mix over time.

Training put together by business owners who are successful themselves can prevent lots of wasted time and money by only spending your marketing budget on what you know works. Training should always be seen as a real investment in your business. Training is essential to ensure your don't waste valuable time and money using marketing methods which simply don't work very well.

There are also lots of software on the internet which can help you put your website together more successfully. Using software like sales letter generators, keyword generators and web link generators can really boost sales. All these kinds of software can boost your search engine rankings and skyrocket your sales, they just need a regular amount of work each day/week to really see some consistent results.

Price Publishing and Armand Morin work together to bring you Armand's world class Internet Marketing Explained course and his full range of sales boosting software to provide practical help in promoting your new or existing business.
