HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR TEE TACTIC

Here are some tips on how to improve your tee tactics, good for all level of golfer as a new knowledge or as a reminder. Making mistakes are common but not acceptable if you want to become expert someday. Always a good that you did not take big risks or fall for any of the temptations or tricks of the course. Make sure every shot is played to make you in the best position for the next.

(Step num one)Pick a specific point in the distance as your target, when playing a tee shot. Look at a branch of a tree or a particular marking on a bunker; don't choose a whole tree or whole bunker for a target line. If you miss as specific point by 20 per cent, you will be in good shape. But miss a general target by 20 percent means you are in trouble.

(Step num two)Tee up on the same side as the trouble, so please you hit away from it, if you are playing a hole with, for example, water down the right side or with trees tight down the left. Don't stand on the opposite side of the tee box, looking at the hazard in a terrified way, as you will then be hitting at it. Fully use the complete width of the tee yo your advantage

(Step num three) Mentally play the hole backwards. Work out where you would like to make your birdie putt from on the green, then work out where the best part of the fairway is to get you there. Tee the ball up and use the club that will put you in that position. Play for the position, but not the distance.

(Step num 4) Sometimes tee markers are misaligned, this will pushing you into the rough or the trees not down the fairway. Take the left-hand marker out of your mind by teeing close to the right - so you can see it from the corner of your eye. Then imagine the left marker is in the correct position before making a positive swing.
